Crossing the street in Seoul requires the courage found in numbers (is that taxi really going to plow into all of us?) and some elaborate pedestrian maneuvers.

Korea has the highest pedestrian death rate among OECD nations, 4.61 in every 100,000 (according to 2007 statistics); over three quarters of which occur in narrow side streets.
