My move to Hawai’i was fated by my love of Spam. I majored in history as an undergrad because of Spam. (Try explaining to a Connecticut-bred classmate that yes, you eat Spam unironically). I have a Spam performance piece in which I eat Spam straight out of the can (not nearly as good as fried with kimchi).

On Thursday, the other handmaidens of Spam popped up to remind me that Spam moves in mysterious ways.

Jay stopped by campus to drop off three of the “best Spam musubi evar” from some little corner store in Pearl City. Deliciousness, on top of homework.

At the same time, S was sending me photos of Spam cans in space from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
